First Film Selection Phase Complete!

We’re massively excited that the Slum Film Festival is moving into its final stages or preparation, getting ready for it’s launch on Monday 6th August in Mathare and Kibera slums!

We have finished the first stage of film selection from over 50 submissions from all over East Africa.

Our first meeting to evaluate submitted films, and shorten the list for our final judging stage.

Films were disqualified if submitted in the wrong format, though the team tried to focus on the quality of the stories, rather than technical details.

Short List of Films that made it to the judges’ table

We have gathered together a short list of 20 films from over 50 submitted entries.
